These terms describe the basis on which Cerebral Palsy Chronicles Ghostwriting Services ("CP Chronicles", "we", "our") provides professional ghostwriting and book production services. By submitting an inquiry or commissioning a project, you accept these terms.
1. Services we provide
We provide professional ghostwriting for faith-based books — memoirs, personal stories, nonfiction, and Christian fiction (spy thriller and drama) — together with book cover design, interior formatting, and self-publishing guidance. All commissioned books are written within a Christian, faith-based worldview.
2. Milestones and pricing
Every project is structured in three milestones:
- Milestone 1 (Project Deposit) — the first half of the book written (pricing varies by word-count tier);
- Milestone 2 (Draft Review) — the remaining half plus comprehensive proofreading, charged at $3,500 (Tier 1: $1,250); and
- Milestone 3 (Formatting & Final Delivery) — final polish, formatting for KDP and Draft2Digital, and publishing guidance, charged at $1,000.
Every project carries the fixed three-milestone structure above. Milestone 2 ($3,500) and Milestone 3 ($1,000) stay fixed in Tiers 2–9 (Milestone 2 is $1,250 at the Tier 1 starter tier); only Milestone 1 scales with project scope. Projects begin with an initial milestone payment — Milestone 1 (Project Deposit) starts at $1,250 — and the remaining balance is paid across Milestones 2 and 3. All prices are quoted in US dollars (USD). Pricing shown on this website is a starting estimate based on your selected word-count tier. The final quote is confirmed individually for each project before work begins. The $3,500 package covers books of 20,000–25,000 words; larger books carry adjusted Milestone 1 pricing — up to a $52,000 total for books over 200,000 words — as shown on the services page.
3. Payments
Payments are made by bank-to-bank transfer through Payoneer. PayPal is not accepted. A milestone payment is due before the corresponding stage of work begins.
4. Author credit and copyright
The client receives full author credit and billing from the very first word and appears as the author on the final book. Full copyright ownership of the finished manuscript transfers to the Client only upon full, final payment for all agreed-upon services. Until that time, the unfinished or unpaid work remains the intellectual property of the Ghostwriter. If the project is not completed and fully paid for — including if the Client stops the project early, cancels, or declines to continue before completion and full payment — copyright ownership does not transfer to the Client, and the Client may not represent any unfinished or unpaid work as their copyrighted completed manuscript. CP Chronicles does not claim rights to the client's lawful content beyond the services delivered. The ghostwriter's role remains behind the scenes unless a co-authorship arrangement is separately agreed in writing.
5. Timelines
Published timelines are estimates, not guaranteed deadlines. Delivery depends on story complexity, the completeness of source material, client feedback, revisions, and response times. Clear milestone dates are agreed before work begins.
6. No-yield guarantee
Ghostwriting and book production are creative and editorial services. We do not and cannot guarantee sales, readership, bestseller status, reviews, or any particular commercial outcome, including through listings, submission, or publishing guidance.
7. Client warranties on provided content
The Client warrants and represents that all materials, information, audio, notes, transcripts, stories, facts, images, or media provided to the Ghostwriter/Service Provider for inclusion in any work or manuscript are 100% original, truthful, lawfully acquired, and do not infringe upon any third-party copyright, trademark, privacy right, trade secret, or express non-disclosure agreement. The Client is responsible for the accuracy, truthfulness, and lawfulness of everything they supply for inclusion in the work.
8. Indemnification and hold harmless
The Client agrees to fully defend, indemnify, and hold harmless the Ghostwriter/Service Provider against any and all legal claims, suits, losses, liabilities, damages, judgments, penalties, court costs, and attorney's fees resulting from or arising out of any content, material, or information supplied by the Client that is alleged to be scandalous, libelous, defamatory, fraudulent, unlawful, or infringing on any copyright or third-party right.
9. Illegal content and termination for cause
The Ghostwriter/Service Provider reserves the right to immediately terminate any contract or service without penalty or refund if the Client requests, provides, or demands the inclusion of material that is illegal, incites harm, facilitates criminal activity, or constitutes fraud. The Ghostwriter will not be held liable for any client non-compliance with regional or international laws.
10. Limitation of liability
Under no circumstances shall the Ghostwriter/Service Provider be liable for direct, indirect, or consequential damages resulting from the publication, marketing, distribution, or third-party reception of the final manuscript or book created using Client-supplied materials.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, our total liability in connection with a project is limited to the amount you paid for that project. We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss.
11. Consultations, booking and scheduling
Consultations are booked through the scheduling tool on our website. These rules explain exactly how booking, scheduling, cancellations and appointment changes work.
Booking an appointment
- Choose a date in the booking calendar. Each open date shows how many of its call windows are already taken.
- There are two consultation times each weekday: 14:00–15:00 (afternoon) and 18:00–19:00 (evening), South Africa time (Africa/Johannesburg).
- 15:00–18:00 South Africa time is a buffer period. It is kept completely free and is never offered as a bookable time — no appointment is available in that gap, and nothing is offered after 19:00.
- A maximum of 2 clients can be booked per day. This limit is enforced automatically by the system and can never be exceeded.
- Your booking request, your time zone, and the meeting date and time are recorded when the booking is created. You will receive an email confirming your appointment details.
Automatic rollover when a day is full
- There is no waitlist. Booking is never blocked because a date is full — you are never asked to queue, and you are never turned away.
- If every call window on the date you picked has already been taken, your booking is automatically moved forward to the next available day that still has capacity. The system checks each following working day, skipping days that are closed, that fall outside the booking window, or that are already full.
- The calendar and the booking step show you the new date and the call time before you submit, so you always know what you are agreeing to.
- Your original requested date is recorded alongside the confirmed date, so both you and we can see what was asked for and what was assigned. Your booking is confirmed on the date shown to you — the original requested date is never presented as the appointment.
- Only daily capacity triggers a rollover. Reaching midnight does not move anything; past dates simply become historical and are no longer selectable.
- Every booking is re-checked against the live booking system at the moment you submit, and the date is locked while your booking is written to it. If two people request the last remaining call window at the same time, only one succeeds and the other is moved forward automatically to the next available day. If the exact consultation time you chose is taken while that date still has space, you are told “Sorry, this time slot has just been booked. Please choose another available time slot.” and you simply pick again — you are never moved to a different time of day without seeing it first.
Confirmation email and local time
- Once an appointment is assigned or confirmed, you will receive an email with the Meeting Date, Meeting Time in South Africa time, and your time zone with your local call time.
- If your booking rolled over, the email says so plainly and gives the new date, the call time and your local time — as well as the date you originally requested.
- Meeting times are shown in your own local time zone, detected from your browser, in addition to the business time zone. Daylight-saving changes are handled automatically so the same moment is shown correctly to everyone.
- Please check the displayed local time carefully — you are responsible for attending at the time shown in your own time zone.
Appointment changes and the no-change policy
- Once a date and time have been confirmed, they cannot be changed. Appointments are assigned automatically according to available booking capacity, so a confirmed slot cannot be moved to a different date or time.
- If you can no longer attend, reply to your confirmation email and let us know as early as possible.
Cancellations
- You may cancel an appointment by replying to your confirmation email. Cancellations release that call window, so the day shows as available again in the calendar.
- A cancelled appointment does not hold a new slot for you. If you still want to be seen, book again — subject to availability and the 2-clients-per-day limit.
- If you repeatedly cancel, future requests may be reviewed before being accepted.
Consultation recordings (Zoom)
- Consultations are held on Zoom. With your separate, explicit consent — given as its own, separate checkbox on the client application, unchecked by default, never assumed and never bundled with any other permission — the meeting is recorded.
- Recordings are used as working material for your project only: to keep accurate notes and to reference what was discussed while drafting your manuscript. Recording consent does not cover advertising, social media, or any publication use.
- Your consent choice, your name, and the date and time of your submission are recorded with your application, so there is never any doubt about what you agreed to. The Privacy Policy (section 5) explains how this information is handled.
These rules apply to free consultations and to any scheduled client meeting. They sit alongside the service terms above (services, pricing, timelines and the rest of this page).
